A thorough investigation on the reactions and morphologies of Mg particles Mg/Teflon/Viton (MTV) during oxidation were conducted via thermal gravity-differential scanning calorimetry (TG-DSC) electronic microscopy. The results showed that is fast. It merely changed metallic luster before 550 °C, only a few to white irregular shape at 600 °C. However, all oxidized porous shaped MgO 650 Herein, ended by its melting point, whole process solid–gas-phase reaction. On other hand, when MTV reacted in air, reaction could be divided into two stages: fluorination exceeded Mg. In first stage, dense MgF2 shell was formed solid–solid fluorination. impede As result, began after melting. Furthermore, liquid vaporize higher temperature, which burst out from react with oxygen. exhibited feature, not protecting heterogeneous lower but also facilitates homogeneous temperature.
